the requiem what decides when the war is won ? is it the last man standing ? or, when we have erased everything ?
- - - - -
the requiem began as a land ruled by a single king with four governing states. the king ruled from lothlorien, a most majestic of places. peace ruled over the land, but the governing states were not happy with their deal, they wanted more power than the king was willing to give and - after years of struggling - open war broke out.
for hundreds of years this war carried on, until lothlorien was merely a ruin, a memory in the minds of thousands of people. the governing states turned into four kingdoms and for a time, things were peaceful again. that was, until mages came to the land. they came in their hundreds, each posessing control of a different element, they set up schools in each of the four kingdoms. fire claimed the north; water chose the west; earth took the south and air claimed the east. for twenty years, or so, they lived in harmony with one another before hostilities again broke out. the fire kingdom wanted power, the earth wanted control and the two nations began pushing at each other, which only forced a response from the air and water nations. after hundreds of years of peace; war once again broke out.
these days, the four kingdoms have brewed themselves into silent hostility; none are brave enough to make a move against his neighbour yet they refuse to give in to one another. however, each have set their sights on a new goal, the fifth and original kingdom; lothlorien. even in ruins its majesty can not be compared with and the lands around it are lush and fertile with trees and crops aplenty. farmers have been stealing its produces for years, but now they want the it in its entirety.
eventually each kingdom will come to face the other on the foretold battlefield of amund'ren, where the first great battle of the land took place. they will fight for control of lothlorien, yet if destiny has her way; they will fail. for a prophet lurks in waiting inside the castle of lothlorien, a prophet who waits for the foretold king. the true king who will be both mage and warrior. a mage greater than any other for he will have the ability to control all four elements.
on the steps of lothlorien, this boy will meet a stranger, a woman who professes to know his destiny and can show him the way to success. will he listen to her? will they find the lost prophet? or will the kingdoms to destroy each other? for even if they succeed in finding the prophet, they must then make the kingdoms listen, which is a task all on its own.
